Max Savage is one of South Australia's most dynamic, energetic and cutting edge live performers. Mercurial and dark; often poignant and occasionally funny, his music draws influences from blues, country and the great American songbook to tell stories of heartache, redemption and loneliness.

His songs pack a punch whether delivered by his touring country band, The False Idols, in the wee hours of the morning to voracious drinkers in some dive or other or in a dark corner, unaccompanied but for his beaten-up 50’s Kay acoustic guitar.

The breakout star of the 2019 Adelaide Cabaret Festival Savage has performed alongside the likes of Keith Urban, Guy Sebastian, The Boom Crash Opera, Marlon Williams and Russel Morris.
